GyroStop (TM) Gourmet Mediterranean Fusion Food truck

GyroStop (TM) is a gourmet Mediterranean fusion food truck providing fresh, healthy, flavorful food.  We want our customers to feel valued as a result of our great customer service and your taste buds well cared for with our excellent food. We specialize in gyro sandwiches, falafels, hummus, and dolmas. We also make unique specials for both meat eaters and vegetarians alike. We offer catering for all types of events, please contact us for more information.

Chef Ty Codar

Chef Ty has been in the food industry for 25+ years. He has his associates degree from Institute of Technology in Culinary Arts and is a Certified Chef with the American Culinary Federation.  Chef Ty also received a certificate from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, France.  Chef Ty received top honors for his Asian food as well as his plating style.  Chef Ty grew up on a Mediterranean diet and loves to share his Mediterranean fusion cuisine with his customers.  Chef Ty is accomplished and studied in all types of foods and can cook anything from scratch.  His ability to create flavors and work with spices and herbs is a natural talent.  Chef Ty has worked in a variety of settings from quick service food to high end restaurants.  Chef Ty was a chef for Apple computers, HP, and other large companies.  Chef Ty started about in 2010 with a personal chef business catering to families and as an on-site event chef.  He had a vision to be able to share his cuisine with a larger audience and began a small outdoor BBQ stand up in Georgetown, California.  From that small stand Chef Ty branched out to a mobile tent business covering festivals and events as well as providing catering services.  As that business began to expand be successful, Chef Ty decided to upgrade to a food truck.  After successfully creating a business plan, Chef Ty had a custom food truck built.  He is now busy running the food truck and introducing all kinds of people to his fabulous cuisine and providing an excellent eating experience.  Chef Ty is also looking to branch out into a store front location soon!  

Chef Ty has recently started working to bring food trucks to El Dorado County to provide monthly food truck rallies and also to help provide donations to local groups such as Union Mine High School Band Booster Club, Rescue Fire Department, Big Brother/Big Sister program, just to name a few.  Chef Ty has done fundraisers donating profits toward military families, Loaves and Fishes program, and other community programs.
